PRICING

Town Toolbox offers multiple services, and the pricing structures for each are listed below. No one likes surprise charges. While repairs, construction, and design are complex and dynamic we have created a fee structure that is fair and transparent.

Handyman Services Pricing

Below is a basic list of our handyman pricing structure. Most small handyman jobs work best under an hourly rate structure. When a project gets larger we can provide you with an estimate for labor and materials.

  • Our hourly base rate for handyman services is $50 an hour and this is also the minimum charge for any handyman service no matter if it is completed in less than an hour. Beyond the first hour we charge in 30 minute increments (example: 1 hour and 20 minutes of work = $75).
  • Our hourly rate for work inside attics or crawl spaces is $75 an hour. This higher rate accounts for the physical difficulty and increased health danger these spaces present.
  • Estimates for handyman services are made at request. Should site conditions be different from what we expected, we will adjust the estimate prior to commencement of work.

Town Toolbox provides a One Year Workmanship Warranty, General Liability Insurance, and all tools and labor required to complete your project (see rental equipment note above).

Remodels and Outdoor Structures Pricing

Our hourly rate for remodels and outdoor structure construction is the same as the handyman services hourly rate noted above. The pricing structure is similar except for the differences outlined below.

  • Remodels and outdoor structures may require design services, construction drawings, consultant services, and city permitting fees which are discussed in the Design & Drafting Services Pricing section below. Design and drafting services must be fully paid before construction can begin.
  • A 25% deposit for the estimated labor hours, materials and travel expenses will be required prior to beginning construction. You pay the remaining balance at the end of the job or per the payment schedule we agree on in advance.
  • A 10% fee will be added to the invoice of any sub-contractor. These include but are not limited to electricians, plumbers, and granite/marble counter installers. This fee covers our time spent coordinating work, reviewing the install, correspondence, sub-contract and insurance review, etc.
  • You the client may be asked to pay directly for large ticket materials / products and for those that cannot be returned. Examples include but are not limited to granite countertops, cabinets, flooring, wall tile, appliances, etc.

Town Toolbox is not your typical handyman or contractor company. Do you have a vision for your dream home but need help turning your concept into reality? We have the design skills and experience to form the ideas in your head to a buildable project on paper.

Design, Drafting, and Onsite Inspection Services Pricing

If you need a whole house, an addition, or your small business designed and construction drawings created, we have the skills, tools, and experience to take your dreams and ideas and put them on paper ready to build! Some remodels and outdoor structures will also require design and drafting services.

  • Our hourly rate for design and drafting services is $60 an hour. A minimum $500 deposit is required prior to beginning design work. We will give you an estimate on the maximum number of labor hours.
  • Our hourly rate for review of contractor bids, submittals, and onsite inspection of work is $60 an hour. Plus travel expenses where applicable.
  • We will travel beyond our standard service area for design, drafting, and inspection services if needed (refer to service area map at the bottom of this page). You will pay in advance, per trip, the hourly rate for travel time and for estimated fuel expenses or air travel, rental car and hotel expenses.
  • Reimbursable Costs not covered by the hourly fee, shall be documented and included in the regular billing. These may include, but are not limited to, outsourced duplication of larger plan sets, original Builders drawings, reports; also the reimbursement of fees paid to others providing services for the project such as engineering, energy calculations, and the City/County filing fees. The Designer does not markā€up reimbursable costs or fees.
